We're here, we're excited and ready to start exploring. Our driver, Ramon, will pick us up at 10, but first, breakfast....we need food to get us through the day. We have been warned by all of our friends to watch the food - now they haven't been here so I don't know what they are thinking, but we will listen and see for ourselves. Off to Intramuros.

For Katrina's Lola - remember the most important thing to know when your in the "homeland" is "Pagpasensiyahan mo ako, na kung saan ang pinakamalapit na tindahan ng sapatos?" In English that is "Pardon me, where is the nearest shoe store?" I have already bought our little Katrina a pair of lovley shoes - her first Jellies. Now she and Alyssa (who has a pair too) can be just like Alicia and I when we begged for a pair when we were young. The love of shoes must be in our blood.
